Farming Clean Energy Conference--HUGE Success!

Colleagues and Friends:
On behalf of the San Joaquin Valley Clean Energy Organization and Strategic Energy Innovations, I would like to thank you for being part of the first Farming Clean Energy conference in Tulare on November 5-6th at the Southern California Edison AGTAC Center. On our website you will find an overview of the conference highlights, a list of attendees, the final conference agenda, and copies of the presentations.
Your participation helped make the event a success! A special thanks goes to our sponsors – the US Department of Agriculture, the California Partnership for the San Joaquin Valley, Southern California Edison, Pacific Gas and Electric, Southern California Gas Company, US Department of Housing and Urban Development, Emerald Energy, Fuel Cell Energy, EnerNoc Inc., Sustainable Conservation, Sierra Pacific Home and Comfort, and AltSys Solar. Without their financial support, this conference would not have been possible.
I was particularly pleased with the open and direct dialog that was generated around the challenges that we currently face in capturing the tremendous clean energy potential in the agricultural sector in the Valley. SJVCEO staff intends to work with partners throughout the region to identify follow-up needs and provide value-added support to capture opportunities and develop promising clean energy projects and partnerships identified in the conference. After some additional conversations with our partners and potential funders, we will get back to you to describe specific next steps we will be taking.
As you are well aware, these are very tough economic times. However, it is important to remain focused on the very positive economic opportunities that increased use of clean energy offers to the Valley and us. We look forward to working with you in the days and months ahead to capture this opportunity.

Most Sincerely,

Paul Johnson,
Executive Director
San Joaquin Valley Clean Energy Organization
